Bad_httpd_conf error on mirror page with pda

#1

I already have a support request in, but wonder if someone here knows if this is even possible, or if maybe I could create a custom error page for this error.

I have a site http://www.mysite.com that mirrors http://www.myothersite.com

I am setting up a redirect for handheld/mobile devices. it works if you use the http://www.myothersite.com

but when you go to http://www.mysite.com on a handheld device you get…

Site Temporarily Unavailable
We apologize for the inconvenience. Please contact the webmaster/ tech support immediately to have them rectify this.
error id: “bad_httpd_conf”

The code I am using is…

<? $ua = $HTTP_USER_AGENT; if (stristr($ua, "Windows CE") or stristr($ua, "AvantGo") or stristr($ua, "Mazingo") or stristr($ua, "UP.Browser") or stristr($ua, "Mobile") or stristr($ua, "T68") or stristr($ua, "Syncalot") or stristr($ua, "Blazer")) { $DEVICE_TYPE="MOBILE"; } if (isset($DEVICE_TYPE) and $DEVICE_TYPE=="MOBILE") { $location='HTTP://www.myothersite.com/mymobile.htm'; header ('Location: '.$location); exit; } ?>

Tech support just let me know it was a problem on the server and is already fixed. Fixed in 7 minutes…now that is what I call service!

That is an excellent response time.

For others that experience this error; It can sometimes be fixed without contacting support by simply going into Domains -> Manage Domains, clicking Edit on the domain concerned and then saving the settings without actually changing anything. This apparently causes the Apache config to be rebuilt.
