Another Secure Server Question

Well, this is my third post and third question…I guess I need to spend some time fielding some of the questions I can answer rather than just leeching off of you guys…I’ll put it on my “Things To Do List”, oh, look its number 2,317,658.
Anyway, the question is: On an eCommerce site, can I use one secure subdomain (secure.domain1.com) to handle secure transactions for other domains (domain2.com/checkout, domain3.com/checkout)?
I don’t know if it matters but I’m using osCommerce. I understand the basics of the secure server thing (thanks in part to this forum), but I’m unclear if this will work, or if a secure subdomain can only be accesed by THAT domain. I’ve looked all over and can’t seem to find the answer to this question. I hope I explained my question suffeceintly…
Well thanks in advance to anyone who can shed some light on this or point me to a resource that explains this in detail.

From what I know a secure server is by hostname, so no you can get secure1.mydomain.com and secure2.mydomain.com without having to get 2 separate certificates. Also you need static IP addresses but I am not sure if you can put 2 secure servers at the same IP address.

I would stick with doing https://secure.mydomain.com/store1.mydomain.com,
https://secure.mydomain.com/store2.mydomain.com/ etc
