Announcement list

#1

I want to allow someone to post messages to an announcement list, but I do not want him to have access to ANYTHING else. How is that possible?

thanks,
Joe

Setup a “discussion” list and operate it in “emergency” moderation mode so it works like an announcement list? Give that little-trusted someone the admin and/or moderator account so they can send emails to the list and approve them.

They hired more support help.
Tip me (and DreamHost gets 5%+$0.30) Cut the code: 9999=$99.99 Off

You could create a new WEBID (panel login) for this person and give them only the ‘Mailing Lists’ privilege, they would then be able to post to the list via the panel. Unfortunately, this will also enable them to modify the subscriber list and/or delete the list.

More details on privileges can be found in the wiki article linked below;
