I’ve just managed to completely wipe out a critical database table. I was stupid enough to NOT backup my database before I did this. So now I’m hoping - praying - that I can get a recent backup from DreamHost. Is this even possible on a shared plan?? If I can’t, I may have to go crawl in a hole and just die.
I can’t speak for DH, but I think they can probably give you a back up from yesterday.

I’m desperate here, and I know that DH doesn’t really offer phone support, but I’m afraid that if my support request takes too long, then any backups they may have will be over-written!
Does anyone know a phone number? I’d even be willing to pay!
don’t sweat it man, you have put in a support request through the panel right? If you’ve done that just hang in there.
Actually, I put in a support request about 21 hours ago and counting. I can sorta understand the delays what with the amount of requests they handle, but for stuff like this, they should be a little quicker IMHO.
P.S. - Maybe I should switch to a dedicated server, think I’ll get faster support then when I need it?

It took roughly a day, but I finally got through to DH via the live chat feature. And yes, they did have a recent backup for me! I’m not a religious man, but Hallelujah all the same!
