Aliases when switching to gmail

I have like 50 aliases setup on my Dreamhost account. I want to use gmail to handle my 5 real email accounts but let dreamhost keep the aliases so I dont have to create 50 “fake” users on gmail.

Will this work?

Chris

Unfortunately, it won’t. When your domain is switched to GMail, all of your mail goes directly to their systems, so aliases created on DreamHost’s system don’t have any effect.

Any thoughts on how to best handle that? I don’t see where gmail handles aliases at all :frowning:

The domain administrator (you?) in Gmail can go into the domain settings, edit a user and add Nicknames (the equivalent of an alias). However Gmail only allows 30 per user

I think that will work! Thanks

Didn’t make the correlation between nicknames and aliases - Doh
