404 Not Found/ error id: "bad_httpd_conf"

Can some one please help me!

I was trying to update something on my site and now it is down!! I need to redirect the www.sheehanvitullo.com site to www.sheehanvitullo.com/home.html. In my effort to try this I broke my site, I think something is not right with the DNS settings I think, but I dont know how to fix them.

I get the following error message when I go to the website:

Site Temporarily Unavailable
We apologize for the inconvenience. Please contact the webmaster/ tech support immediately to have them rectify this.

error id: “bad_httpd_conf”

This one when I try a page I’ve uploaded:

Not Found

The requested URL /home.html was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

I hope someone can help me!!

It’s not necessary to crosspost.

Works now.

I get that message when trying to browse to http://www.sheehanvitullo.com/home.html

You have 3 options:

  1. Update all the pages to link to “/” or “/index.html” instead of “/home.html”
  2. Use .htaccess to specify DirectoryIndex as “home.html” and rename index.html to home.html
  3. Use .htaccess to add Redirect directive to issue a redirect from /home.html to /
