windtown,

Are you clearing your browser's cache prior running phpinfo.php and using your forum to check the status of the settings?

That is great news Smile

Can you tell us what the problem turned out to be?

PS: I think you owe rlparker a beer after this marathon! Tongue

Smile I am happy too! Smile

Congratulations, and enjoy your new settings! It *would* be nice to know what the problem turned out to be, as it might help us make this less painful for others Wink

That *is* great news :O , and is probably reasonably good evidence in support of the belief that persistence pays off Wink .

Thanks for the "beer" comment, but you *do* notice that the thing only got got resolved after *you* jumped in - I suspect you said it "mo' better" than I did, as I didn't seem to be able to make much progress during last night's marathon.

I really appreciate you jumping in to help - I didn't know what else to suggest; I was getting "worn out" and not thinking real clearly any more. Sometimes a "teamwork" approach works better!

That said, I really *would* like to know what the problem turned out to be (Gawd, I hope it wasn't his browser's cache!).

windtown,

As this thread is now almost unmanageably long, and the new problem is on a different issue altogether (your forum settings), could you please start a new thread about that problem?

It would help greatly if you would start that thread by describing your current setup (particularly which forum software you are using, what version, and where it is installed). Good Luck!

No problem, I figured that you could do with a break and a chance to recover. Wink

'rlparker & Raz', it sounds almost like a WWF tag team. Tongue

Here's hoping that the OP's forum issue is easier to diagnose.

No problem windtown, I am just glad that you (eventually) got it all sorted.
