Does Dreamhost still require a "rub" for all credit card payments to setup an account? I realize that google checkout is an option now. Do let me know. Thanks

Apparently it depend of multiple factors.

Last Time i used paypal i still had to send a "rub" with $0 authorisation.

Apparently not, in most cases.

These days, if your application triggers the automatic fraud detection system, you will be directed to make your payment by Google Checkout. However, if you live in a country where Google Checkout is not available, you may still have to provide a credit-card rubbing.

somebody had the same problem. They can only pay using Google Checkout.

Maybe DH is doing something. We can't do anything but wait. You may want to send a ticket to DH support.
