There is no demo of the admin panel as such, but you can create a WEBID (panel log-in) without actually purchasing any hosting using the link below;

https://panel.dreamhost.com/login/new.cgi?

However, without a hosting plan or domains under the account you won't actually be able to do much.

I'm not sure about now. But when I signed up the plan, I can't use the same email address to add a hosting plan.

For example, we need an email address to have a webid. when we try to sign up a hosting plan, the system will ask for an email address. You can't use the same email address here. It wil say it is already stored in the system.

Just be prepared to use two different email addresses.

Yeah, me too.

The DreamHost panel may not be as 'pretty' as cPanel, but it provides a whole lot more control. It can be difficult to find things until you get used to it, but after a little while it becomes second nature.
