Linux VServer (which we use) has some really interesting properties with regard to memory usage. In most cases, each Dreamhost PS will be running similar software, so there's a lot of memory savings that can take place behind the scenes.

Just an update.

Finishing up a php Game Panel to work on DreamHost without eating up resources, thus no crazy mod installs needed, just a small database and say 10megs of b/w month probably.

So far its working, RCONphp for console commands, and some very "precise" call scripts to start/stop/restart the game server, VERY basic, but better than the crude way I explained in the tutorial, email me(in profile), or PM me for more info.

Again, I feel like i'm invading territory by doing this, so any feedback from DH is more than welcome.

Awesome. Now I really want a PS. Tie to start saving. There are so many mods that don't have any servers running, and a speedy server in the US is better than none at all. (Australia FTL - Hosting costs sooo much!)

I don't run one atm but I used some server.cfg generator, nothing really special, some mods will rocket the usage but general sourcemod plugins (like no respawn) do nothing, HLStatsX etc causes double resource use most times, though.
