Subject What's the deal with /.lando/ ?

Hi...

I have been wondering about the path to my website directory on the server.

/home/.lando/myusername/mywebsite.com

What is the idea with the .lando directory? Is .lando just a root directory shared with other users on specific hardware?

Best regards, stoffer

Lando is your "server".

That's where your files are stored. (Physically, your files don't actually sit on your server.)

It's discussed a bit in the second half of this post:

When specifying file paths, you can leave that part out -- just use /home/myusername. In fact, you should leave it out, because it can change.

Actually, that's a dataglob. Each server can have multiple dataglobs under it.

Generally speaking, you can ignore that - just edit it out of any configuration files you may have that point to it (as it's prone to changing from time to time).

Okay, I just changed it - thanks for the info. Will removing it make any change in speed BTW?

I don't believe so, no. If there is any change it would be pretty insignificant.
