Yep!

I dunno exactly about "any other server", but I guess since PS degenerates into a dedicated server at the highest CPU and memory limits, there's no reason for any limitation. If you need root access for the installation you may need support to help you since we don't get root access on our PS server.

It really depends. I've seen somebody get one with few days. But I'll assume that you need to wait longer since more and more people are applying it.

The OP might also be interested in the following thread where Decio says that he sent support an inquiry about his status on the waiting list and was transferred immediately. He speculates that this might be due to the fact that there were problems on his server:

This would lead me to believe that they may be prioritizing people who can give a good reason for wanting to be transferred more quickly. It's a good theory, at least.

It would be nice if we could find out how long of a wait we are in for. I put my name on the list through my control panel sign-up about 2 months ago.

It would be nice to have some idea about what their strategy is. Submitted a low priority ticket asking them how long the wait list is - or just how long you will have to wait. If you do get a good answer, you could post it here for everyone!
