I changed the user of a domain that has a old joomla 1.0 site on it.

I changed the configuation.php file to the new user and the site loaded ok.

But none of the sites internal links work now.
It comes up with an error:

"Not Found

The requested URL /component/option,com_frontpage/Itemid,1/ was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request."

Any idea how to fix this?

I'd like to use the Joomla system, but I mostly speak French and so will the user of that site. Is there a way I can set it to French?

I tried to DL the language packs but they seem to contain the whole system... Do I simply replace the corresponding files via FTP ?

Hi,

We are planning to implement GnuPG to work with Formmail, however some setup is needed on the server side (GnuPG Installation via SSH). I was unable to find a good documentation regarding this specific section.

Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks!

A fellow had this problem a few days ago following a server move.

phpinfo() was returning 4.4.9 even though in Panel it was set as PHP5 FastCGI (and PHP4 wasn't a Panel option). The fix was to switch it to 'regular' CGI mode and that kicked it over to PHP5.

Command line often defaults to PHP4, so your site is probably running PHP5. Try creating a .php file in your site with just the following:

<?php
echo phpinfo();
echo "\n";
?>

Hey Scott,

Thanx for the info. My site is set to PHP FastCGI, but returns PHP v. 4.4.9 from the command line.

The file in my domain directory does not reference PHP and I haven't set it up to, so unless it's a dreamhost config I would guess the site is not using an .htaccess file to handle PHP requests.

PHP5 has been installed for quite a long while. I've switched over long ago. If you go to the panel and click Domains -> Manage DOmains and then Edit your domain, is there a PHP4/PHP5 dropdown menu?

Do you have a .htaccess file that's handling PHP requests?

Hi,

I run a Moodle site outside of the Dreamhost network, but have rich media content sitting on Dreamhost. I want to secure that content so that only users within my Moodle app can access the content on the Dreamhost server. Has anyone done this and could share how I might be able to implement?

Thanks.

Is there a way to have a private subversion .. with read only access,so not everyone can check in stuff?

There's very little configuration options in the DH panel.

I suppose I could go looking in the actual files..

You can install a SVN 1.6 client yourself, but that won't affect the mod_dav_svn server (which is embedded in Apache). Moreover, if you start messing with the repository using your 1.6 client, mod_dav_svn may end up unable to read it -- so we don't recommend this!
